One Month Away From The 2026 Irish Poker Open
The 2026 Irish Poker Open begins in just 28 days! This edition of the Irish Open runs from March 26th to April 4th at the Royal Dublin Society in Ballsbridge, featuring 86 events and more than €4,500,000 in guarantees.
After €14,500,000 in prize money was awarded in 2025, Paul O’Reilly and JP McCann are looking forward to another record-breaking year in 2026. The schedule has been jam-packed with variants and buy-ins of all sizes, including several new and returning High Roller events to entice the best and brightest players from around the world.
2026 Irish Poker Open Schedule & Highlights
€2.5 Million GTD Irish Open Main Event
The €1,150 buy-in Irish Open Main Event is back, with another €2,500,000 prize pool guarantee, beginning on Sunday, March 29th at noon with the first of five Day 1 flights. Coming off a guarantee-smashing €4,447,950 prize pool, which saw 4,562 entries. Players start with 50,000 chips and play 45-minute levels on Day 1A. Each flight permits a single re-entry.
€1 Million GTD Mini Irish Open
The €250 Mini Irish Open begins on opening day and runs throughout the festival. Fourteen qualifying flights and a €1,000,000 guarantee will see over 4,000 entries needed to reach the guarantee. In 2025, the Mini Irish Open drew 6,411 entries, creating a prize pool worth €1,343,874.
€1 Million GTD Luxon Pay Mystery Bounty
Event #1 on the schedule sees the return of the €1,150 Luxon Mystery Bounty. The event runs from March 26 to 31 and features four Day 1s. Players start with 50,000 chips and play 45-minute levels on Day 1A. Each flight permits a single re-entry.
The Hendon Mob Championship
As we have done every Irish Open since 2019, The Hendon Mob Championship is on the schedule for 2026. THMC Dublin will run over two days, with a buy-in of €350. Day 1 begins at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31. Followed by Day 2 on April 1.
Irish Open All-Time Leaderboards
Heading into the 2026 Irish Open, there are two prestigious leaderboards players can look to climb: the Irish Open All-Time Money List and the Irish Open Number of Cashes. Neil Channing and Jamie Flynn sit atop respective leaderboards.
Channing has accumulated 1,287,568 at the Irish Open since 2008, almost all of it coming from his win in the €4,500 Irish Open Main Event, defeating a field of 667. Breaking into the top five will require somebody to surpass $794,189. Last year’s Irish Open Main Event champion, Simon Wilson, is closest to that mark, looking to overthrow Marty Smyth, Neil Smyth, James Mitchell, and Christer Johansson, who round out the top five.
Flynn has an impressive 20 results at the Irish Open since 2016, leading Zeik Tuit by three cashes. Flynn picked up five results in 2025. It is a star-studded leaderboard, with the top five filled by the likes of Jon Kyte, Dara O’Kearney, and recently endorsed PokerStars Ambassador, David Lappin, all sitting with 16 results.
