Privacy Information and Browser Cookie Usage on The Hendon Mob Website
What are Browser Cookies?
Cookies are small files we, and most other websites, store on your computers. This is nothing new and cookies have been used on the internet for years. The new e-Privacy Directive means that now we have to let you know about this.
Those small files help websites to maintain a link between the user and the pages that the user opens in browser. For example, it allows us to know that a request comes from a specific user (who may or may not be logged into the website) and serve an appropriate page. This is how you control your forum account, Poker Database subscriptions or any of the other services on our website.
What Kind of Information do We Store in Cookies?
We do not store any personal information in cookie files. Most of the time it contains an identifier (a string consisting of random numbers and letters) which helps us to link a visitor (you) to specific user account on the website (your account). Some cookies may record a state or preferences for some page you may visit. For example, if you choose to close the Cookie Information message at the bottom of the page we will set a cookie which will tell us that you do not want us to show that message any more. Other cookies help us to understand how visitors use our website.
