The Hendon Mob Championship Closes Out 2023 in Two Continents
Later this week, our team will travel to the fourth continent to host The Hendon Mob Championship (THMC) in 2023. For the first time ever, there will be a THMC event in Africa but it will also be our first event in the southern hemisphere. We have joined up with the SunBet Poker Tour by MJPT for the upcoming SunBet Poker Tour Cape Town. THMC Cape Town Million kicks off on Sunday, November 26th at GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World with an R8,000 buy-in and R1,000,000 guaranteed.
Just days after THMC Cape Town Million concludes, the team will relocate to Banco Casino Bratislava to join The Festival in Bratislava to host the final THMC event of the year. This will be the third collaboration between The Hendon Mob and The Festival in 2023. The two-day THMC Bratislava event gets underway on November 30th.
Of course, both events will feature a custom THMC trophy for the champions and custom THM profile badges for those lucky or skilled enough to score a cash.
R1,000,000 Guaranteed THMC Cape Town Million
The first of three starting flights for THMC Cape Town Million is set for 5 PM local time on Sunday, November 26th. The event carries a buy-in of R8,000 with 30,000 chip starting stacks and 30-minute levels. Unlimited re-entry is permitted through the first nine levels on Day 1. Day 1B and Day 1C will play out on Monday, November 27th at 1 PM and 7 PM respectively.
The event will play down to a winner on Tuesday, November 28th where at least R1,000,000 will be divided among those fortunate enough to make the money. The final day will feature a live-streamed final table.
The festival as a whole has R10,500,000 in guaranteed prize pools including a R4,000,000 guaranteed Main Event. Along with the Main Event, two of the major draws will be the High Roller and Super High Roller. The former boasts an R1,500,000 guarantee while the latter has R2,000,000 guaranteed. That means there is a lot of extra money up for grabs throughout the remaining events with a Welcome to Cape Town event that boasts an R500,000 guarantee, followed by another R1,000,000 guaranteed event in the R25,000 Mega Million.

The Hendon Mob Championship Bratislava
We are proud to be heading back to Banco Casino for the third time with the next THMC Bratislava. The action will kick off on November 30th with Day 2 on December 1st. Entry costs €250 and re-entry is unlimited for the first 8 levels. Players start with 30,000 in chips and play 30-minute levels.
Previous editions of THMC events at Bratislava have proven to be popular with 766 entries in 2022 and 820 in 2021. Ilija Savevski was victorious in 2022 walking away with €28,742 while Dmytro Shubin took home €34,640 in 2021.
The Festival Series has been sweeping across Europe providing memorable player experiences on and off the felt. The team at The Festival doesn’t just focus on poker, they also invest time in the destination. The Festival is the first live circuit to run Roulette, Blackjack and Sportsbook tournaments in parallel with the poker action. Players will also enjoy various activities outside of the poker room including player parties, nightlife, fine dining, and local tours.

By the time 2023 comes to an end, we will have hosted an event on four continents, covered both hemispheres, shattered records, and held the most events in a year, ever. THMC Bratislava will be the 10th THMC event in 2023 across England, Ireland, Malta, Liechtenstein, the United States, Taiwan, South Africa, and Slovakia.
