Smart Poker Tour to Cap Off Strong Year in Sofia

The Smart Poker Tour (SPT) is set to host its record seventh live festival of the year in late November. It’s also adding another new venue to the list. SPT 10 Sofia takes place at the Palms Royale Sofia Casino in Sofia, Bulgaria from November 28th to December 3rd. The schedule boasts more than €250,000 in guarantees including a €200,000 guaranteed Main Event.

It has been a big year for the SPT as they went from four events in 2022 to nearly double that in 2023. The tour reached new destinations including Bansko and its first event outside of Bulgaria, in Bucharest. All the while awarding over €1.3 million in prize money.

SPT 10 Sofia €200,000 Guaranteed Main Event

Day 1A of the €200,000 guaranteed SPT 10 Sofia Main Event kicks off on Wednesday, November 29th at 2 pm local time. Players have three more opportunities to qualify for Day 2 with Day 1B on Thursday and two flights on Friday including a turbo flight beginning at 8 pm. The buy-in is €500 with starting stacks of 60k chips and 30-minute levels.

Players also have the option of buying in directly to Day 2 for €1600 which comes with a 200k starting stack and 40-minute levels. Unlimited re-entry is permitted until the end of Level 15.

Mystery Bounty, High Roller, Second Chance & More

Following a Main Event satellite to get the festival rolling, Day 1 of the €225 Mystery Bounty kicks off at 8 pm. Day 2 follows on September 6th at noon with €100 of every buyin going to the bounty pool. Along with Day 1A of the Main Event, the second day of the festival sees the €50,000 guaranteed High Roller get underway. The cost to enter is €1,600 with 100k in chips and 30-minute levels. Both events have unlimited re-entry until the close of registration.

The festival will be closed with the usual two events including a Second Chance and a Last Chance event but also a Pot Limit Omaha event. The €10,000 guaranteed Second Chance begins a few hours after Day 2 of the Main Event resumes on Saturday, December 2nd. The Last Chance event and the “Chuku-Ruku” PLO ante up close out the festival during the final day of play on December 3rd.
