Malta Poker Festival Spring Edition on the Horizon

A telltale sign of winter’s end is the return of the Malta Poker Festival Spring edition. In just over a month the annual festival will kick off at its home at Portomaso Casino. The festival runs from April 24th to May 1st. Some 25 events are scheduled which feature The Hendon Mob Championship (THMC) and a €300,000 guaranteed MPF Grand Event powered by Unibet DeepStacks Open (UDSO).

The festival will also bring together other European live poker brands including the return of the APAT, Bounty Hunter Days, and Ladies First!

MPF Grand Event Powered by UDSO

The headline event of the Malta Poker Festival Spring edition is the MPF Grand Event powered by UDSO. The event carries a €300,000 guarantee and will cost €550 to enter. Play gets underway on April 26th with the third and final day on May 1st.

Players will have five Day 1 flights to make Day 2 and may re-enter up to two times. Starting stacks are 50,000 with 40-min blinds and late registration for eight levels.

The Hendon Mob Championship

THMC returns as a premier side event for the MPF and slots in its usual spot on the weekend. Day 1 begins at 4 pm local time on April 28th with a buyin of €230. Players start with 30,000 chips and 30-minute levels. Late registration is available for the first eight levels and two re-entries are permitted.

There won’t be any shortage of variety for this year’s MPF Spring. From Omaha to Pineapple, to HORSE, Win the Button, and Bounty events, players of all skills and bankrolls will find something to their liking. The APAT Maltese Championship returns along with the Ladies First! women’s event hosted by Chris Read. Bounty Hunter Days will host two events and Betsson also sponsors an event.
