Irish Poker Open Partners with PokerStars and Paddy Power Again for 2024

The 2024 Irish Poker Open is just over a couple of months away and satellites are already underway. Following the record-breaking success of 2023, the Irish Poker Open has once again joined forces with PokerStars and Paddy Power to promote the event which will also feature live streaming on both platforms.

Europe’s oldest poker tournament will return to the Royal Dublin Society for the second straight year beginning on March 25th. The festival will host 35 events over eight days featuring a €1,000,000 guaranteed Irish Open Main Event and a new Mini Irish Open event boasting €500,000 in guaranteed prize money. The festival also sees The Hendon Mob Championship (THMC) return for the fourth time.

Online Satellites for the 2024 Irish Poker Open Available Now

A staggering 350 qualifiers found their way onto the felt through PokerStars satellites last year including champion David Docherty who won €365,000 after winning his seat from a €109 qualifier. The plan is to match that number once again.

Online satellites for the festival kicked off on December 17th and will award 20 seats guaranteed every week. There are four ‘seat-only’ satellites available every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with eight ‘seat and expenses’ packages guaranteed every Sunday. Additionally, on Sunday, March 10, there will be a 16-seat guarantee mega satellite which will be repeated on Sunday, March 17th.

Players can win multiple tickets for the Main Event. The first ticket is a MUST play but all further tickets will be credited as ‘players choice’ tickets and can be used in various ways – including as re-entries for the Main Event or combined to be used for one of the bigger buy-in events.

“Last year the Irish Open broke all records and that’s certainly down to our amazing partnership with PokerStars.” Said event organizer Paul O’Reilly, “More than 350 players qualified on PokerStars for 2023 – the highest number of players that PokerStars has ever qualified for a partner event. PokerStars offers players so many options, with a great mix of seat-only and full prize packages running several times a week. Last year’s winner David Docherty won his ticket online on PokerStars for €109 and turned that into a huge €365,000 first prize so it definitely pays to try to win your way into the event and experience the famous Irish Open craic.”
