“Franke 50 Winters” a 50-Year Anniversary Poker Bash
Reaching the moment in life where you look in the mirror and see someone who is no longer as young as they used to be is something that most of us experience. Approaching major milestones can also bring anxiety of their own. The Festival founder Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk, approaching his 49th Birthday, thought he could delay such anxieties until he approached 50 itself, until his long-term girlfriend dealt him a blow that he could barely wrap his head around – that he was about to experience his 50th winter! Once this feat of mathematics had been explained, Franke could do nothing else but get to work arranging a poker event befitting a man’s 50 winter.
Based on all of this, the 49th birthday poker tournament aka “Franke 50 Winters” will be held on February 24th in four different poker rooms (PAF, Coolbet, Betfred, GUTS), celebrating both the present and the future with a rich prize pool, not of the edible variety in this instance, but of delicious and mouth watering The Festival in Malta poker packages.
