You are the Tournament Director Series 2: Introduction

We know that many of you enjoy reading the 'You are the Tournament Director' articles. These were twenty different situations that our panel ruled on and twenty-two articles in total. Sometimes they agreed and sometimes they didn’t but it is probably a good step forward in the writing of a definitive poker rule book.

For the next round of questions we have a new panel with four new faces. Matt Savage (USA) and Thomas Kremser (EUR) are still with us and whilst the original panel made some great contributions we wanted to get different views and opinions from further a field. To that extent we are particularly happy to welcome Danny McDonagh from Crown Casino Melbourne. He will be officiating in the upcoming Full Tilt Poker sponsored, Aussie Millions next month. We also have probably the most experienced TD in the world, well he has certainly been around the longest, Roy Houghton. Roy has recently opened a new poker club in the City of London, the Loose Cannon Sports and Poker Club. They are joined by Mel Judah whom many of you will know as a top tournament pro. Mel is also a well respected tournament director and is currently TD for the EPM series of tournaments. Last but not least we have Luke Ivory from the Fitzwilliam Card Club in Dublin who many consider to be the best person to run a card room worldwide.

For the next round we have taken questions that at various times have been posted on the Mob Forum or emailed into us so some of you might recognize the situations.
