In this section we take you through the process of determining your best low Omaha hand. It is important not to forget that in Omaha you must use precisely two of your hole cards in forming your best five-card hand.

  Hole Cards     Board Cards

Here there are only two low cards among the board cards. It is therefore impossible to make a qualifying low, despite the presence of four unduplicated low cards in your hand.

In this example there are three low cards on the board. This means that you will make a low if you have two unduplicated low cards in your hole cards. You can take the A-3 from your hole cards and combine them with the 7-6-2 from the board to make a Seven low, 7-6-3-2-A. Note that you are using the 2 from the board and not the 2 from your hand. You require both the Ace of hearts and Trey of spades as the two permitted hole cards to complete your hand.
