When questioned if the other poker club situated a 1/2 mile from the Cavendish would also be closed we were told they were OK as they had a license to play BINGO. This premises is also running BJ & roulette tables and is still in business.

When we asked what exactly a bingo license had to do with poker the officer didn't reply.

This quote was taken from the thread on the Cavendish club raid in N Ireland, it got me thinking what exactly is he difference between Bingo and Poker? It seems to me that in the eyes of the law there is very little. After all if Poker is recognised as a game of chance (as is Bigno) why is it not possible to set up under a Bingo licence? Isn't Poker just Bingo for men? In fact beginers night at my local game is known as "Bingo Night" Wink

(By the way I know as well as you that Poker is a game of skill but in the eyes of law its classed as a game of chance like bingo).
