13th July 2012, Stoke: The Genting Poker Series is now officially a £1 million series. Guaranteed by Genting Poker at £800,000, the popularity of the series has meant the prize funds from the first three legs has pushed the accumulative value through the £1million mark..... with four legs still to come.

As the series prepares to hit Stoke in 3 week’s time (1st – 5th August) it is not surprising that the advance interest is high, with more than 100 satellite qualifiers having already secured their seats.

Given the success of the three legs to date, Genting expect Stoke to deliver a prize fund approaching £150,000. Whilst a host of big names have been playing in The Series, the format is proving extremely popular with recreational players and Genting Poker has revealed that over half of the players that sat down in the 3 legs to date at Star City, Birmingham, Fox Poker Club, London and most recently Fountainpark, have won their seats through the online or land based qualifiers, including Edinburgh winner Paul McTaggart.
