| OOPS, I have somehow managed to wipe the sound facilty from my laptop, any ideas how to retrieve it. I was getting rid of some progs and this has managed to get caught up. TIA |

load device manager (just type it in the start menu)
then next to the sound video and game controllers one should probably have a danger sign
if you right click on that you should be able to update the driver, which you hopefully haven't deleted
otherwise you will have to download them, would have been helpful to say what operating system and laptop it is too ;] |
