This weekend 147 of the UK's poker players flocked to Fox Poker Club the poker venue in the heart of London. The prizepool was guaranteed at £25,000 but reached a whopping £44,100.

Sayil "SykoSy" Zulhayir was crowned the eventual winner after two day's of poker tournament play. The professional poker rounder from London was honoured to add the Fox Main Event to his list of accomplishments and says that the £11,750 he added to his bankroll may come in handy if he heads to Vegas for the WSOP this year.


Fox Main Event June 2012 Final Table

Zulhayir was a strong presence throughout the play of the tournament but largely kept his head down on the final table. After Dan Burrows knocked out a succession of players, Sy relegated Mai Huong to a third place finish before taking the chip lead and eventually the title from Dan Burrows. Going into heads-up play Dan and Sy evened out the payouts a little and it was Sy who came out on top snapping off an All-In river bluff from Dan with top pair and then leading into the final hand dominating Dan's Ace-Nine holding Ace-Jack suited which made a flush when the community cards fell.

A £150+£10 Side Event was spread with a £10,000 Guaranteed Prizepool. With a total of 55 entries the Fox Poker Club added £1,750 to the prizepool. The tournament ended in a three way deal after much deal making to extend the places paid was made. The club loves giving away money to it's beloved members so much that it has extended it's Spring Guarantee Spectaular throughout June with Guarantees on Every Tournament at 2pm, 7pm and 11pm.
