As it says - Looking to purchase one but am unsure what the minimum spec required would be??

All you get to choose with the iPad is memory size and wifi only or wifi/3g.
Poker sites won't work through the web browser as most use flash. There's a pokerstars app, and that's about it.

Any experience - Any good?
One i was looking at was 16GB with wifi and 4g - Didn't realise about the flash player TBH

It's capable of working at 4g, just no-one provides a 4g service yet! It'll default to 3g for now.

just seen on BBC that the Advertising Standards Authority are investigating Apple over this
