London Calling Main Event at Fox – Results Here

This weekend at the Fox Poker Club in the heart of London an office worker from Whitechapel got a dream Easter Egg – a prize worth £14,000 and the title of London Calling Champion. George Alexander triumphed over the 95 entrants into the Poker Festival’s £500 entry Main Event. The event had a guaranteed prizepool and after two days of play and a little negotiation Alexander walked away a poker champion.

Alexander beat fierce competition to the title including Kenny King who had held the chiplead throughout most of the tournament. He eventually was victorious over runner-up Daniel Gallagher when a heads-up battle swung in his favour when the last pair went to war with top pair and middle pair. The Champ’s top pair held and Dan succumbed to his fate a few hands later when his King High failed to hold against a suited Ten-Seven.
