Doesn't this thread already do the job?

http://www.thehendonmob.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43518

General concensus from Spurs fans that i have heard from is that Chelsea are the luckiest pub team going that managed to pull it off, but that Spurs should also have bagged 3rd place a while back with a few stupid results costing them.

Chelsea deserves all the respect in the world. They never gave up and had that British 'never say die' attitude.

West Ham back where they belong and Chelsea sticking it up Spurs. What a perfect day!

Saturday was the worst footballing day of my life. Yes I'm ok, and there is no need for me to post in sundance's threads as every dog has his day.

Well done Chelsea, you ran as good as someone who wins the WSOP ME and your war criminal chairman spent £1bn during the past 9 years, so money well spent.

Sad that both Chel$ea and $hiteh have bought their trophies, but c'est la vie.

An view of Chelsea by an Arsenal fan.

Quote:
Don't ever let a Chelsea fan try and tell you to stop going on about the money, that it's not about that and that you're just bitter.

Of course it's about the f**king money. It's ALL about the money.

The month Abramovich arrived they were on the brink of bankruptcy, unable to make their next debt repayment due to years of financial mismanagement, having massively overspent on players and wages in a desperate attempt to compete with us, Man Utd and Liverpool.

The Russian paid off their £90 million debt immediately and has subsequently pumped a billion (some say almost two) pounds of his dubiously earned money into the club on transfers, obscene wages and bonuses, infrastructure and the poaching and paying off of a succesion of managers. The financial mismanagement has continued on a massive scale. It's just that they can get away with it now because of the dirty Russian.

The argument that all successful clubs including Arsenal have bought success is bogus. We have only spent the money we've earned and what we have spent is a tiny fraction of their obscene outlay. They have had it handed to them on a plate as a gift for nine years now. Even Man Utd's massive spending in the past was funded from a position of enormous income.

Every trophy they have won since Abramovich took control has been bought by him. Every Chelsea fan would have cringed when Abramovich lifted that trophy yesterday because they all know in their hearts that it really is HIS trophy. He had every right to lift it because he paid for it.

http://www.transferleague.co.uk/

So Chelsea fans it IS all about the money. You don't f**king deserve the success that it has bought you. You are the luckiest club in the history of football. And that's not bitterness, it's just fury and hatred.

And while we're on the subject...

There are many reasons to despise Chelsea Football Club.

The fans - be they plastic glory-hunters or neanderthal nazis singing songs about killing jews and gas chambers and disrespecting minute's silences for Hillsborough victims. I have witnessed groups of them on trains racially abusing passengers and staff, singing "Hitler was a Blue, he gassed the ******* Jews" and spitting, belching, farting and generally wallowing in being animals, utter subhuman scum. And let's not forget how fickle and disloyal they are. The week before their "Saviour" Mourinho was sacked CFC played a Champions League match in front of a half-empty Stamford Bridge. Home attendances in the 80s and even the 90s were frequently under 10,000.

The captain - a shameless, classless Chav who racially abuses opponents, abuses 9/11 victims, shags teammates girlfriends, parks in disabled parking bays, urinates on night club floors, kicks, pulls, knees, elbows and generally fouls and cheats his way through games, etc etc etc..

The other obnoxious, cheating mercenaries in their ranks including Cashley Cole and Diving Didier.

Their "history" - they were formed as a business idea rather than a football club. The ground was bought and then the players were poached from existing clubs. No gradual development of a works or factory team or social/athletic club like other clubs. Before the Russian they had one league title to their name (1955 under former Arsenal legend Ted Drake, won with the lowest points total ever, the only major trophy they won before 1970!) and a few cups. Reknowned for being flash, cocky and aggressive with odious, notoriously violent, racist fans to match.

For all these reasons and more Chelsea truly are the scum of the football world. As an Arsenal fan I naturally hate Spurs but my loathing for Chelsea is on another level altogether.

Never read so much BS in all my life, if I could be bothered I would go through every point and correct them

I feel sorry for you Nem, but don't it make you bitter and angry, post a Terry gif, change your profile pic back to Bayern Munich and talk about how World Class Jenas is, call people names, say Spurs will win the league but don't post nonsense like this. You're better than that, much better than that

Probably massive ignorance on my part, but has football not just become a business now?

It's not about winning because you deserve to, it's about making money. Man United are now the richest sports team in the world, beating all American Football teams, American Football being a sport that openly admits it's 'sports entertainment', teams are called franchises, and you have to buy your way to the Superbowl.

I'm pretty sure everyone can see it, but Britain as a whole is becoming VERY Americanised, so what keeps our sport pure? Until the FA make a restriction on buying/selling (that includes a cap on how much you spend) and in my eyes having a minimum number of BRITISH players on your squad (I'm fairly certain there was a year where Arsenal's first squad had but 2 Brits in it), it's going to end up that the team with the most money is going to win.

I'm not going to lie, I cheered when Man City took the Premiership, completely out of spite against Man U, but I know it's a hollow victory. With enough money, you can buy and bring Bayern or Real Madrid over to Britain and stomp the league, Man C have basically bought this year's league.

Unfortunately though, it's essentially no one's fault. It's just all positive feedback. As the Premiership became more popular and more watched worldwide, the more money it generated. The more money it generated, the more money the teams got. The more money the teams got, the more they could pay players. But it also means the cost for all teams go up.

Who honestly would turn down the chance to earn millions so they could stay playing at their local team for an average wage? But it also means the lower teams with promising youth end up having to sell their good players just to keep up payment. As a Middlesbrough supporter, I've seen this first hand.

I can understand the rivalry between the London clubs (us, the Geordies and the Mackams have always had relatively equal teams during my life time, but of current seasons, Newcastle have been winning out, but not a single Smoggie can turn around and say Newcastle didn't deserve this year's position. Pardew turned that team around and as difficult as this is to type, well done them.), but I think the ribbing can go a little too far.

This season has probably been the best I've seen in my short life, emotions are obviously going to be high. Saturday's CL game was incredibly tight, and I know for a fact both Chelsea and Spurs fans were watching with bated breath (I was in London at the time). The result being which team reaches CL next year, and importantly gets that cash injection. This will inevitably affect the 2012/13 season, the top 7 is very volatile.

I'm trying to tie up my post, but I've seem to covered too many points to make a concise closing. I think I want to say that football is changing, maybe for the better, but I believe for the worse. As football is becoming richer and richer, it's going to become common place that buying trophies happens, whether you all like it not. It's at least the case for the Premiership.

Football as a whole is becoming corrupt the higher in the divisions you go, going down soft and diving is how the game is now played. Like everything, football evolves and it's how it's played now, I dare say the game becomes purer the lower you go skill wise, but that's completely moot. But at the end of the day, Capitalism rules the world. The more money you have, the better you do. There are the few exceptions (Newcastle, Blackpool etc) but at the end of the day, if you're playing a team game, the team with the most money is going to come out on top. (And that's not just the case for football, look at F1 (Ferrari's 20 year dominance coming to an end by Red Bull's money injection, HRT/Virgin/Lotus still lagging behind, French teams offering a higher wage to players so Britain loses it's biggest Union players, to name but a few.)

Again, if anything above I've said is wrong, I'll admit it gracefully. The argument is a bit disjointed, but a lot of points came up as I typed, I tried to fit it all in coherently, I'm willing to elaborate anywhere.

I wouldn't say you showed any massive ignorance there, quite a sensible post, yes you are correct, football clubs are run like a business now, plenty are on the stock market for example

Nem is just being a silly billy, he knows Spurs in the last 20 years have won 2 League cups because they have more money than my local pub side, kinda stating the obvious though really, I would never expect my local pub side to field class like Sherwood, Nethercott or Sedgley for example Mr. Green

Nem do you read this forum?

A question: Who is the most important person at Chelsea football club, in terms of bringing success to the team?

My answer would be that it isn't any of the players or the manager. I think that's why I would feel a bit hollow if I were a Chelsea fan. It's all about Roman.

Every football team "buys" the trophies to a certain extent Nemesis. The cost of any trophy these days is increasing season by season and the Premier title simply isn't possible these days without considerable financial input. In 1995 we were all talking about Blackburn Rovers and how they "bought the league" with "Jack Walker's" millions.......the game has simply moved on regarding how much money it takes to win the league.

You cannot knock a club for spending more money than your club if they have that money to spend. If Tottenham could fit that kind of spending into their business model then they would do the same......no doubt about it. Chelsea were also "buying titles" six and seven years ago and the bar was being raised by Ambramovich in terms of total expenditure. The question is not that clubs "buy the league" but if they are spending too much to do so and so the real issue is value.

Don't you think that lesser clubs look at Tottenham and think that they have "bought" their way into the top four???? Its the same thing on a larger scale. You look at the football rich list and then compare that to the Champions League winners and finalists since 2005 and the lists are almost identicle. Success in football is being bought but it always has been ever since Nottm Forest stunned the world by paying £1 million for Trevor Francis that took them to the European Cup in 1979 and the salaries at Liverpool were higher than at any other club in the era 1977-1990.

I love how fans of London clubs are all snidey with each other but I think they should embrace competing relgious sects and take it to the next level. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it only Millwall and West Ham who actually fight each other? Everyone else rocking the passive aggression. That's not healthy, chaps.
