I've never bothered with this before (it's 9 ball pool ffs) but having watched the preview with Jesse May voiceover it actually looks quite exciting and prestigous. I'll deffo have it on in the bar from 7pm (I'm always looking for live sports to fill the gaps; I'd rather turn TV's off than put on MTV*).
So who's going to win this weekend at the MGM? USA or Europe?
Anybody got any tips for good bets to make?
*I really hate it when a bar is playing music but showing different music videos. |

I watched a 9ball tournament on tv back when I was at uni, wasn't that great tbh
I used to watch all sorts of rubbish though, 10 bin bowling is pretty lame as they pretty much just get strike after strike |

Read the thread title and thought this was ANOTHER competition Man Utd and Man City had qualified to enter this season |

Really used to enjoy this, I recall watching Jimmy White and Alex Higgins winning a doubles
match some years ago and the place went mental, brilliant tv at the time.
Wouldn't bother with it now as I dont know any of the players. |

Yup, same here. No Side Lowe commentating now either. Earl Strickland who was always good for a Matusow blow-up hasn't even qualified.
The problem for a viewing perspective with good 9-ball players is that they just break and run nearly every rack so you don't have the drama. |

| What impressed me on the preview (which was basically highlights of the whole thing so far) was the atmosphere; crowd reactions; victory dances; trick shots; earl breaking his cues and just got the feeling it was a lot of fun. I'll be watching but then again I'll be working at the same time so it's no bother. |
