Never know whether to bet these sorts of hands or not, or let someone bluff me.
I thought you should hardly ever slowplay in Omaha, is this the right occasion?
Just lost a big hand before with JJxx on a J96 flop so sitting short too

I play it the same I think. You're not so worried about anyone filling up, so your main concern should be getting your entire stack in. If you were sitting with more I'd be inclined to bet it but given that you're short I think it's a reasonable line.
if they are the kind to bluff at it if you don't bet then your line is probably best, especially as you are not playing a full stack
against tighter players, betting may be worthwhile as it will also let you bluff at these tpyes of boards when you don't have it, obviously if you never bet out with the nuts here players may pick up on it
if you do get played back at when you do and have a deep stack you can win a rather sizeable pot by building it up
PLO is tricky and I'm still learning the nuances myself, I just finished reading Slotboom's new book last night and I recommend it.
I'd hardly ever be looking to slowplay in Omaha, unless perhaps you have the hand and situation which arose for you. I think I'm playing it pretty much exactly as you did.
