Post subject: Schools Weapons Search |

Teachers or security staff will be able to search pupils for knives and other offensive weapons without consent, under a new law which has come into force.
It follows powers allowing schools to use screening devices such as metal detecting arches and wands in a bid to protect students from knife crime.
What happened to taking your Rubik's cube and a bag of marbles?

In Our school we played British bulldog
And played football with coke cans
we also wore Farah trousers
for some reason they was cool

i agree with the screening , i have 2 kids and what they tell me some kids carry its frightning
ace your right good old british bull dog , tin cans and if a fight broke out it was settled with a few punches and that was it abloody nose or a black eye not a knife to the heart
its all changed so i agree |

I realised after posting it they already have this in the US.
I'm gobsmacked - nothing like this ever needed at my sons' school.

Mrs Ford my art teacher/drama teacher
had a habit of calling me impudent.
I think she fancied me.
Why else would she want me to sit at the front of the class
she used to always search me after Art
for coloured pencils and crayons, and glitter.
i used to put a few pens in my blazer
for her to find, and kept the ones i really wanted in my hand
and just put my arms out, as she searched me.
We had a special pupil teacher relationship
i quite liked her leaning over me as i drew pictures
and she used to always let me do school plays
she once made me a Gingerbread outfit
for a school play.
i also went to France with her
and she was in charge of me
and she confiscated a flick comb i bought
but let me have it back, when we arrived back in England
i think it would be fair to say, i liked Mrs Ford

The local school near me have already confiscated Knives and knuckle dusters, kids think it's hard to carry weapons and join 'crews', this is Newcastle and not the Bronx.
