Why are so many runners wearing flouresent yellow shoes? Are they just a brand, or is there something else about them? _________________ Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici

Shoes: As a former distance runner myself I have a cupboard full of track shoes (we call them spikes). Each manufacturer tends to change their colourway every couple of years. Puma used flourescent yellow seven or eight years ago and this year it seems to be Nike's turn.
I have shoes in all kinds of colours including a pair of cross-country spikes with a fetching tiger skin pattern
