[quote="sting266"]91: Braveheart (1995) - Good film. Reminded me of a less tongue-in-cheek Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves. That's not to say it's entirely humourless, there's a few witty moments. Could do with being an hour shorter though - 8/10
90: Raging Bull (1980) - Should be called "Waste 2 hours of your life watching Robert De Niro getting fat" because **** all else happens. If you've got an itch for a boxing movie, watch Rocky. This sucks - 3/10
Next up: Metropolis (1927) & All About Eve (1950). What have I gotten myself into?[/quote
Oh dear...I'm not sure what stupid list you are reading from, no doubt one where something like Bridget Jones, one of the Bourne identities or a Hugh Grant Rom-com is at number one?
But the Sting at 100? You will never see 99 better films so already the list is shite
Raging Bull at 90? LOL, there will never be a dozen films better made than this, but for you to give it 3/10 makes you as bad as the jokers making the list

I actually like that list, I would obv have it different, some movies in there I dislike, some I think should be higher, Papillon for example.
But it is done over thousands of people scoring it, not just up their arse critics, but people, which is how it should be done really.
Overall it isn't actually that bad either, obv thousands of kids giving films like Avengers 10 making it score better than industry defining films of the past is a bit wrong. But watching Robbie have about 10 records in the people voted best 100 songs of all time is the same. Whatever is in the present will get more votes than it should due to current popularity.
Glad to see Independence Day finally slipping below a score of 7 too, one of my most hated films ever, sums up the worst of Hollywood for me. _________________ because you very very retardo i lose

89. Metropolis (1927) - My first ever silent movie! And despite dreading the experience & going in with a negative mindset I really enjoyed it. So far ahead of its time it's hard to believe. If it was in colour & had voices you could easily think it was made in the 60's. Brigitte Helm's perfomance(s) is mesmerising in the last third. Highly recommended - 9/10

Superman Returns (1979)
A Turkish re-imagining of the 1978 American version. Some clever uses of reverse video, Christmas tree baubles and an Action Man doll. Terrible acting, script incomprehensible and some amazingly blatant plagiarism all round, they even steal bits of other film and TV show soundtracks.

the running man is great 4/10 you nuts bruv
hunger games is a weak cross between running man and battle royale though
damn all my well educated friends for saying how great it is and that the (kids) books are even better, this is why I don't listen to adults who have read harry potter (to themselves, reading it to a child is excusable, though really they should have gone the Roald Dahl route)
I've also recently watched, book of eli, better than I was expecting but I wasn't expecting much, mila kunis and some good fight scenes, not great but worth a watch
the bank job, couple of hotties in it, I enjoyed it but again nothing special

The Hit 6/10
Early 80's film.
Seasoned hitman (John Hurt) and his cocky young sidekick (Tim Roth) pick up a supergrass (Terence Stamp) to escort him to meet his fate with Mr Big (Lennie Peters from Peters and Lee!). Mindgames and incidents along the way conspire against them on their journey.
Usually on TV at some point, one of those "i'll just watch this before I go to bed" films.
Edit, or probably more accurately, one of those "It's not great, but I want to see how it ends" films _________________ Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici
