Playing £1/£1 NLHE 7 handed. The guy on my right sits out on his BB, so obviously I become the BB. He only misses the one hand. He returns and posts the SB and continues in the game.
So, he is receiving a full round of hands for the cost of only one blind. No one says anything, dealer included. This seems incorrect as otherwise all the players could sit out for the BB and return on the SB, therefore halving their blind charges...
Thoughts?
(PS. It was my first visit to the club, so I decided to keep quiet and not make a fuss on this occasion, but I'd like to know 100% certain in case it happens again.) |

He should post the BB and SB and "buy" the button, you shouldn't have to post the BB twice. On the next hand he would then be on the button and you would be the SB _________________ Genting Poker Series Leg 3

Some places let the player post from between the button and the proper SB, so there are 3 blinds. They then miss the button position, as it moves to the proper SB next hand. Known as "guesting". They skip the BB but miss the button. _________________ http://www.alexbowler.com |
