Murray doesn't make an effort to come across well, but prefer that approach to a false media image.
Lewis Hamilton is normal for an F1 driver.

Tried as hard as he could but was up against a legend of the game, I can't understand the negativity and sometimes pure hatred towards the guy, he never gives anything other than 100%, some people are just not comfortable doing interviews and its not his job to come across as exciting when talking after matches, its his job to win which he always tries to do, really hope he manages to win a major, he deserves one.

i dont think its any sports-persons gods given right to be liked. He is dour and obnoxious. this may be due to the pressures on a teenager and many other contributing factors. He got the support he deserved at wimbledon and for the first time played a great game of tennis in a final. he did not buckle. he did not bend. He was beaten by the better man on the day. There is no shame in that and his honest response after went a long way to repairing the damage his forced media image has done for him.

Tennis is not a matter of life or death, no sport is but we expect athletes to fight like it is. With this in mind just be honest and open and get on with playing tennis. If you dont it is a bit of a naked lunch moment as it shines a light on how unimportant sport really is, particularly with a huge world recession on.

He could learn a lot from Marray whose attitude and commitment were exemplary. Being successful at the highest level is producing your best at the most important times. to do this you must be relaxed and do your best. Murray has shown his ability is on a par with the best but has struggled to produce the winners at the most important moments. i think in lendl he has found a good coach and i would think; hope this is the spring board for greatness. Not because he is british, he lives and trains abroad mostly, but because he is a quality player and its nice to see players get at least a bit of what they deserve. he is so much more than henman ever was.

Murrey has one chance against these top3 that's it. This generation of players comes of the back of the doom mongeren period where everyone thought men's tennis is dead because it was serve Ace serve Ace serve Ace.

These people hit them back for fun, because they had to learn too or would never make it, Samparas would give Murrey a lot more chances than the set up one break up that he had.

Not to get too Philosophical about it but it shows the amazing power of humans. I remember watching Johnson as a kid smashing his own 200m record, probably against alot of drugged up people then 10 years later Usain smashes it himself.

Sport is great cause people adapt. Only 3 people have adapt better than Murrey.

i had a huge bet a few years ago on murray to win a major title in 5 years, and another parleyed to the us open. this is the best opportunity for him so far, and maybe ever.
come on murray

Murray's chances are improving all the time. Nadal has injury problems and Federer's getting old. That takes him from number 4 to number 2.

Must say that I had serious doubts of him ever winning one (and he still may not) but he does appear to be improving. I think the doubled edged effect of working with Lendl and winning Olympic gold will have toughened his mental fortitude and the way he hung in against Berdych was impressive.

Ominously so was the way that Djokovic dispatched Ferrer yesterday. I was hoping that Ferrer would either win or take it to a five set marathon. Although Djokovic is awesome physically as we saw at the Australian Open when he beat Murray in the semi in five sets and then won the final in five sets the following day IIRC.

Just hope that at the crucial big moments, the old demons don't start rearing their heads again.

How many finals does he have to lose before you notice he has a habit of losing important finals? Djokovic will crush him.
