New deal worth £3BN, amazing increase from the current deal.
Sky got five packs (116 games) and BT (!) got the rest (38 games). BT also got pack A. |

| It's a pity BT didn't get the lot Sky stick theirs into expensive packages. Who wants to pay for the cr*p on their other channels at the same time ? Just as an aside BSkyB winning the football rights is the reason Murdoch's so powerful but that's not being discussed at the Leveson inquiry. The Leveson inquiry is supposed to be about control of the media but they've left out the most important element of it. |

This is like getting cows to pick their own abattoir and letting them argue over which has the best conditions.
I just want to watch a game of football. the best way to watch it is live and you dont get any commentators. the second best is on tv. Why they think they need to bring in 3D, commentary, computer graphs and graphics and then charge me insane money to watch it and then on top of all this, have the audacity to charge me extra for the "premium" games is just capitalism gone mad.
When sky came out i got the sports extension for football and boxing. then the boxing went pay per view and you had to get a season ticket for the football. time to rid yourself of this burden. SKY+ was great but so was tivo about 10 years before. _________________ The next best thing to gambling and winning is gambling and losing.

You can turn the sound down ! Tbh I just watch it on the internet these days. The Al Jazeera commentators are quite good. |

In the early days of analogue Sky, you could fiddle with the remote and set the audio so that you still got the sounds from the game, but not the commentary. I don't think it was official, but just a by product of the way the system worked. It was quite nice. They should reintroduce it, call it the Gary Neville button. _________________ Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici |

they could have an andy gray button that just focused on the women in the crowd and then vote who would smash them by using the red button.
Or the mark lawrenson button where you could keep giving money to someone, everytime you pressed it,to talk absolute shite with no humour or quality whatsoever.
Or the graham souness button where you press it to get an opinion from 30 years ago thats not really relevant, as you were not any good even then, but time and 3 european cups, thanks to dalglish, means people let you say anything regardless of its lack of value.
or the roy keane button. same as the mark lawrenson button but in an irish accent _________________ The next best thing to gambling and winning is gambling and losing.

| In the current economy the new deal makes no sense, unless they are going to screw over the fans...... |
