he got raped in germany and it did not take a group, just a genuine heavyweight.
The only analogy required for Haye is all mouth and no trousers. well done you beat a tall cumbersome embarrassment of a heavyweight.
well done you beat a beat a russian circus freak.
Then you fight your first genuine, athletic heavyweight. boom, you realise you are in over your head and dont win a round. maybe landing 1 or 2 punches in the whole fight before your poorly toe toe.
now you are back to fighting out of shape punching bags to make it look like you can box at the highest level. the trouble is he does not have the heart for boxing to be a legend.
why anybody would buy a ticket for this farce is beyond me. they are not boxing fans, i cant believe that haye has fans after his embarrasmment in germany. chisora is a joke losing fights all over the place.

IMO it is boxing itself that has made this problem......the problem being that too many fights and fighters are being labelled by too many people as being a "joke". This is happening simply because there are too many organisations in boxing each with their own "world champion".
The term WORLD CHAMPION should mean exactly THAT......it has happened in other sports and games and all have suffered as a consequence in some capacity. In Chess years ago then a group of players broke away from the FIDE organisation to set up the PCA (Professional Chess Association). So in 1993 when the FIDE Champion that was Gary Kasparov moved across and formed the PCA and played Nigel Short who had also been in FIDE but was now a part of the PCA in the World Championship decider then FIDE had to rustle up a replacement final.
The end result was that everyone saw the FIDE World Final as a "poor mans final" and many people turned away. Then it happened in Darts and while the PDC is doing great, look what has happened to the BDO which now seems nothing more than a training ground for players to move to the PDC who have enough talent. Most players who are any good in the BDO move across and so the BDO tournaments lack the same quality as the PDC.
Ditto with boxing........David Haye should not have been WC.....and neither should the guy that he beat to get that title either. He wasn't even in the same league as Klitschko when they fought meaning that there were other fighters in the world far better than him so how in gods name can you be called WORLD CHAMPION ffs. The only people who are getting shafted here are the public......certainly not the fighters or the promoters. There are too many title fights simply because there are too many divisions and that has happened simply because of people chasing money and nothing else because it certainly didn't happen to give Joe Public a better product to watch. _________________ Poker columnist at www.poker.co.uk
