I'm working on 25%. You have a 1 in 4 chance of *randomly* getting the right answer. Once you start crunching the numbers, you are no longer in random land. _________________ Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici |

lol?!
Take 1 and divide it by 2 once - you are left with half of one. Take 1 and divide it by 2 twice and you are left with a quarter of one. Are you saying that if you take 1 and divide it by 2 an infinite amount of times, you would be left with 0?
Out of interest... what number/fraction when divided by two equals zero, and how did you get there by halving anything?!

its self referential. so you have 1 in 4 chance but 2 are the same so 2 in 4. a 50% chance. 50% is one of the answers. so you have 1 in 4 chance of selecting that answer. marty mcfly style paradox where you shag your mum. I want to say impredicative but dont quote me on it and pembo will correct. _________________ The next best thing to gambling and winning is gambling and losing.

| The obvious answer is 25% as a one in 4 guess. As there are two 25% answers, this would make it 50%. However, there is only one 50% answer and the chances of guessing that would be 25% (1 in 4). So it is a never ending paradox and goes round and round. Thus it must be zero? |

| So the correct mathematical answer is that there isn't one? |

I withdraw my answer... on reflection, it was a bit stupid.
I tried to look at it recursively, but it didn't work.
