My vote is to suspend or move to different month - Discuss........ |
Concrete proposal with yes/no answer required I think.
e.g. suspend, start again May 1 (one month from now), all prize money held until then, existing results in March until end of day 18 March to count, any results in May up to bankroll limits also count. Option for any on the list to withdraw now and get their money back now if May will not work for them etc.
I am sure that people are happy to go with majority, we just need a clear proposal to vote on.
For myself I want to suspend because this is not fun right now. I don't want to penalise Stowjon for good results so far as existing results should count. I know that May restart may not work for all so option to withdraw needs to be there but would be a shame if anyone had to take it. _________________ "Brandon Uhl @BrandonUhl

Please reply in the thread with a vote on the following:
Choice 1:
Suspend challenge until the month of May (hopefully software issues will be resolved by then). All current totals will be rolled over to ensure no good results are penalized. Your starting bankroll will be your current challenge bankroll as of today, as will monies won:
i.e - hackett's starting roll will be $195.64 - no cashes carried forward
All prize money will be held by Joe until then.
Choice 2:
Carry on challenge regardless until the end of the month
Choice 3:
Abandon challenge with Joe refunding everyone involved - Software issues have detracted from a key element of the challenge (Enjoyment).
I could list up to 10 different choices but i think we need a decision within the next 24 - 48hrs on this one.

| I think no.1 suspension would be great. Gives me a chance to get the software issues sorted out my end and also get the glitches sorted from ipokers end. |

Was waiting to hear from you Jon - knowing you're ok with this I can say this is my first choice too. It feels dreadful thinking about the challenge until the site issues are fixed. _________________ "I find it's best to start the day with no composure and then you've got nothing to lose." B. Boatman

my reasoning behind the cancelling is simple. people who have been playing up until the 18th will be at a dissadvantage by having a smaller roll than others with a full month to play.
I dont like my decision tbh but in my mind its the fairest option for all concerned.
i say refunds and then look at when the problems are 100% fixed and make sure they are fixed and not just patched over, then look at it again. _________________ "There's not enough hippies to save our lives, We need more hippies" |

Well, for my part, I don't feel it's be unfair in any way to continue when challenge restarts with my current (reduced) BR. I just feel there are enough varied problems on the site that have been going on for about as long already as there is time left to 1st of May. I have no confidence the problems will be sorted by then, and looking at a further drag-on and confusion. _________________ "I find it's best to start the day with no composure and then you've got nothing to lose." My actual vote is for Choice 3.
To re-start the challenge with reduced rolls and winnings carried forward is actually fair, that said some of the buy ins that have taken place thus far may of just been wasted due to software being booted, or simply getting so pee'd off you quit the MTT.
January has proven that the challenge can be successful with everyone taking part and immersing themselves wholeheartedly into playing MTT's and supporting others. _________________ If i want a monkey i get a monkey! |

This is my choice people sorry |
No need to be sorry at all Jon, you are the one losing out most. I have made a small amount of profit too but that means I haven't lost anything by having played and abandoning now.
I change my vote to Choice 3 too so that it can be as close to unanimous as possible. _________________ "Brandon Uhl @BrandonUhl

guys im happy to do whatever the majority would like to do
i know im meant to vote but i havnt played a mtt yet and also my entry fee was paid by captainGee....
so if the money is returned can joe just hold mine to save giving it back at the start of the next challenge cos im deffo in whenever it is...
but in the fairness to the challenge i also think option 3 is best
i havnt looked at winnings/losses yet but im sure someone had a decent 150-200 score so ill do whatever they want to do. |

Vote to date is as follows:
Hackett - Cancel
St G - Cancel
Captain - Cancel
StowJon - Cancel
KB - Cancel
AK - Suspend
Zeb - Yet to vote
Uh hu - Will vote the same as captain
As from 20:55 March 18th by majority vote the challenge is suspended.
I will contact Joe and ask to transfer back funds.
Once Genting software is resolved a future challenge will be posted on the forum - Shitty end but i think the right choice for now. _________________ If i want a monkey i get a monkey! |

huge thanks to Joe for holding the funds and appologies to him for the messing about.
If its easier for him then he can give me mine back at the fox or just ship it to me on genting. _________________ "There's not enough hippies to save our lives, We need more hippies" |
