Chelsea rode their luck a little bit but fair play to them. But they do need a good draw on Friday for sure if they are to reach the final as the big three will be very tough and the nightmare scenario could be to have to play all three to win it.

Yes we rode our luck in a big way, but as RDM said before the game, you need a little luck to win these games, Napoli could have been 2/3 up in the first 30 minutes. Thank God Cech had a good game again, the deflected shot was a better save than he got credit for

Was lucky to have a decent ref as well, one of the best I've seen in a CL game, on another night we don't get that penalty.

Well played Napoli, one of those ties when the best side probably didn't go through, such a great side on the counter attack, and play some really good stuff

First game I've enjoyed all season and a real classic cup tie, got to the stage that after 90 minutes I wouldn't have been that gutted had we gone out, it was just good to see the player passion back and people playing well, I thought when Terry went off that Napoli may have exploited that some more but luckily they didn't...APOEL next round please Very Happy

Great game a football. Had everything. you could even see why chelsea are struggling in the league as napoli tore them apart defensively. Drogba is so good though. its a shame his legacy will not be more trophies. love to see managerless, ageing, struggling chelsea win the CL. liverpool did it with an horrendous team. sadly barca or real would probably net a cricket score against that defense. always the hope though

Yep, we draw Madrid or Barca and we'll need an abacus to keep score

The reason we are struggling in the league is because we have had the village idiot in charge, things MAY change now, fight for 3rd/4th spot could be interesting

What Chelsea could do with is to not have to play one of the big three until the final and then anything can happen in a one off game like when England beat Spain recently. Even if they get a good last 8 draw then the likelihood is very high that as the field condenses that they will have to play back to back top three to win it from the semis onwards.

Although I dont think the draw is seeded is it and so anything could happen and if the following happened then Chelsea fans wouldn't be complaining

Barcelona vs Real
Milan vs Bayern

Benfica vs Marseilles
Chelsea vs Apoel

with the winners of games 1 and 2 meeting in the semis and games 3 and 4 and then Milan upset the odds and reach the final for a Chelsea vs Milan final Very Happy

Meanwhile back on planet earth.......................

Yeah Chelsea did look shaky at the back last night but to be fair, the front 3 of Napoli were absolutely fantastic. Their movement and understanding of each other was a joy to watch. I think the front 3 play even better than the Barca front 3. Although having Messi means you don't need anyone else ofc...

Wasn't so much looking shaky at the back as Napoli cutting through our midfield like a knife through butter Rolling Eyes

And, the Dean, pleeeeeeeease make that draw happen Very Happy

Can't make my mind up if that is a good draw or not........good news to have avoided Real Madrid and Bayern Munich until the final and good news to have got Benfica. But could be Barcelona in the semi and you really do not fancy any team other than Real or Bayern at this time to be able to handle them.

Although AC Milan drew 2-2 in the Nou Camp and only lost 3-2 at home to them in the group. I don't think it is totally beyond them to cause an upset but Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich and Chelsea vs Barcelona........what a semi final line up that would be. If Chelsea played them now I would give them 10-15% chance at best over two legs......if they still had AVB in charge I would have said no chance.
