Marco Vasconcelos opened in position with Ace-Jack. Peter Vu defended from the blinds re-raising and Marco decided that his stack of less than 20 big blinds would be best employed making a four-bet shove. According to Marco it took a while for Peter to make the call.

|
|
A couple of hands into the final Jen-Yue Chiang and Grant Pirie get involved in a massive pot which puts Grant back on top. He has been chipleader for most of the day it was Jen who started the final with the chip advantage. With the blinds at 4,000-8,000 with a 500 ante Jen opened raising to 18,500. Grant popped it back from the Big Blind raising to 40,000. Jen calls and we see the flop
Grant Pirie
On the flop they get a further 50,000 in each. On the turn another 73,000.
On the river Grant moves in. He has about 230,000 back. Jen folds and Grant quips – “Well in half an hour you can watch the Live Stream and find out.” Indeed they do and we see that Jen held but Grant was leading all the way with . The miracles of modern technology!

Roland Redhead has fallen to the GPS Champion Ruslan Vlasov. They got it All-In preflop in a hand that pretty much played itself…

Roland was left speculating – “I almost just called preflop”. We’re not sure that would have made much of a difference Roland, we hope to see you back for the Genting Poker Series.

Leo Lim has survived an All-In to double up. With the blinds at 5,000-10,000 with a 500 ante Leo moved his 76,000 stack All-In. Adrian Smith who regular readers will remember was runner up in this competition in January re-shoved and it was a heads-up race for the money.

The talk on the rail is about the Genting Poker Series Leg coming to the Fox Poker Club March 27th – April 1st. Ruslan Vlasov who won the first leg is surely going to come and play it. He seems to have fit straight into the Fox Poker Club with this final table showing (he is currently sitting in seat 4).
