Zeb - the Genting 'my account' section shows tournament histories and tracks all rebuys/addons... Some of us can do screen shots of it and some nameless occupants can't figure it out.

As more and more Tourneys are going R/B it would seem a good part of the challenge.

I agree declaring entering a T is important. I'd appreciate a grace period of a few minutes though as sometimes I barely make it in as it is and 5 mins to then log it into the thread would be a necessary.

Also agree it has to be based on total winnings. I'm mulling over the idea of preferring a higher # of events to be played though. Maybe 20 which sort of guarantees half the BR would be used? I'm trying to think through all the levels of that though ...

Just did a search with the sudennly new iPoker interface that has appeared since last night! Seems quite responsive, does this update include any other changes in play I wonder?

There are 4 PLO (no PLO8) tourneys that qualify for this challenge PER WEEK lol, one is before I get home from work so I am left with 3 a week, 2 of which are turbos (standard ones crapshooty enough!)

But there is a nightly $5 PLO rebuy and a $10 PLO8 rebuy.

Hey zebedia, what's PLO in iPoker?

Oh, and I don't think the money should go to the people who won the most money, because of diminishing marginal utility. Best average finish or something would be better if there's money. Call it insurance or compensation rather than a prize.

For better or worse the objective of playing in these MTTs is to maximise prize money. I know there is high variance in there but part of the value of entering this (for me at least) is to force me to think about ways to maximise my return rather than maximising my hands before being knocked out.

I totally agree with this and with stowjon: the winner should be whoever wins most money. That's unrelated to the best use of the entrance fees. Paying the winners a bonus that's small relative to their winnings but large relative to the losers' losses is silly. The idea will last longer if the money is spread around a bit.

winner = person that cashes most.
winner = recipient of prize money.

If we are going to use the prize money entry fees as a way for winners to somehow subsidise the losers then that seems like a perverse incentive to me.

I suppose we could run the challenge with no extra prize money and run the comp anyway with the winner being the one that cashes most and the prize being just the kudos of being acknowledged as that month's winner.

The prize money is the trophy. Winners get trophies. Honorable mentions and also-rans get 'I'm going to have to work on my game so I can get a trophy next time.' Cool

This and as there is the hendon mob chip set, from last month maybe that could be a prize for the person with the best average finishes

I would like to see rules locked down before I ship the money this time.

Can we set a deadline for when they will be locked down? If they are exactly
as last time then fair enough but I would like to know for sure before I enter as
there are still quite a few ideas floating about.

How about as before but must post before or within 5 minutes of tournament starting for that tournament to qualify? That way people can play events that do not qualify if they wish and they are not limited to $200 of MTTs in the month.

Winner is player who has most bankroll at the end. Winner gets chip set and 1st place.
