Would be nice to see suits!

Villain's play is terrible, nothing more to say.

PLO newbie here too...

Why is villian's play terrible w/ bottom set and gutshot draw (suits might be key here as well for Tommy more than villian tho)

What were the opp's cards? 66TA?
If so preflop raise is not great.

However at that level (I am currently playing micro PLO on Genting trying a 10-1000) pretty much anyone with a set is going to push. I dont have a problem with their play particularly with the gutshot (and backdoor flush draw?)

Your hand (Top 2 pair and a gutshot) is not really a hand I want to gamble with for my whole stack on that flop - I fold to his $1.07 raise

Would like to see stats on the villain and the blinds, but a reraise with your hand preflop might have been a more profitable play. Again it is player dependent but against many openers at low stakes your hand has good equity but in my opinion plays better heads up than multiway. Also you don;'t want the button peeling so that you have position. If you flop a monster I don't see you getting paid off big by someone in the button or blinds peeling and hitting a second best hand very often - but against one opponent you are in a much better position and don't need to flop the nuts to be ahead and get bets paid off. Again it depends on the player but if you reraise preflop he SHOULD fold the hand he has if it is AT66 - or any 66 hand that flops a gutshot there (I can't see the opponent's hand in the history so I am going on St Gilmore's response)

Villain's play - I would fold AT66 or similar preflop in his position. Postflop is about as good as it can get with that hand so get it in.

Back to hero - postflop I would put opponent's range as:

Hands that are well ahead of hero: KKxx, QQxx, 66xx

Hands with similar equity: AJTx (x is not 9), AKJx, AKTx, JT9x, KQxx

Hands hero is ahead of: AAxx, Kxxx with little straight equity

Hands hero is well ahead of: K6xx, Q6xx, QJTx (x is not 9 or A), AJxx, ATxx (these two where the xx do not include 9), air

Not sure how the opponents were playing - reads may indicate one end or the other of the spectrum of hands here. It helps to know how often players are slowplaying - I think it is a massive mistake to slowplay KKxx or QQxx here but enough players do this to make it something to consider i.e. that type of player would check this flop.

Without a read when the opponent c-bets this flop I think plenty of their range is behind top two pair here so I would put in a raise. My preferred amount would be to reraise to something like 0.90: if the other players are both continuing after this and it comes back with further raises to consider I am usually folding so it has cost me 4BBs less than the amount raised by the hero. Actually a raise to something like 0.78 might be optimal as it will probably achieve the same responses.

In the specific situation and facing a further raise from UTG+1 after BB folds I would hope to have information about the opponent. If they ARE the type of player to bet out with top or middle set, especially a decent player who I can often expect to see holding a good wrap and rarely getting attached to bottom two pair or naked aces then I fold. Some opponents I get it in instantly because they will continue to raise with a large part of the range I listed. Without information about the opponent at these stakes I probably toss a coin or look at my watch to see if the second hand has passed 6 and fold if tails / <6 and get it in otherwise.

I'd love to see posters pick holes in this analysis - I don't do as well at cash PLO as I think I should.
