went to see my first ever show in yesterday MJ's Thriller @ the Lyreco Theatre on Shaftsbury Av,
Now i was very scepticle about going as it really not my bag shows and stuff like that, but i was quite suprised as i really enjoyed it and found myself telling the missus we should go and see something else. What did shock me was the fact that there was only 16 people (not including the band) in the whole show (5 amazingly FIT female dancers) and a young lad about 13 who did the 60s stuff he was very very good. there was no story whatsoever and it was literally just singing and dancing. Oh yeah and half the songs were sung by what can only be described as an absolute goddess when i say this woman was hot i mean moulten metal hot.
Stowjons verdict: 7/10 (this mark is off the cuff as i dont have any other experience to compare to) _________________ "There's not enough hippies to save our lives, We need more hippies"

My verdict after seeing We Will Rock You last week. Obv great songs - the singers are really very good, ditto the dancers - as for the acting, well who cares!

Shrek the Musical
6 out of 10
Good scenery, costumes and effects and a fun show obv aimed at younger audience or fans of the films.
Didn't find any of the songs too memorable but show should do well.

Warhorse 7.5 out of 10. Hard to describe compared to other shows as although there is some singing and music it isn't a musical.
Trailer probably shows it better, but really impressive.

went to see the Railway Children @ waterloo station theatre last night, i didnt even know there was a theatre there but its in the old eurostar bit.
the show was brilliant, a random from The Bill and nobody else famous i dont think, and they used a real full size steam train.
this show ends on the 8th Jan 2012 if you can get to it, if you have kids in the 8-15 y/old bracket they will love it.
stowjons ratings:
Thriller i marked at 7/10 but compared to this Railway Children is a 10/10
so i change thriller to 5/10
and place railway Children as 7.5/10 as im now thinking more shows to follow and im sure there will be better on the horizon. _________________ "There's not enough hippies to save our lives, We need more hippies"
