Rather than have a gazillion threads for this season, thought it might make more sense to have one do it all thread for anything related to this season. Now I know the football league has already started but most the chat tends to be about the premiership.
I'm looking forward to it, bring it on! |

| Looks like there is a directive about not giving penalties when the attacker initiates the contact as in the Lampard and Gervinho incident. Nice to see. |

| When you think how much money United have spent to add to a Title winning side they should run away with the league this year. |

The Lampard one I can see your point. If he hadn't started to go a nanosecond before the contact it would have just been a straightforward pen. The Torres one on the edge of the area was blatant. _________________ I'narr en gothrim glinuva nuin I'anor

| Yes, definite penalty. Looked like Halsey has an obstructed view though and the lino is never going to give it from 50-yards away. |

those decisions often don't get given, sometimes even more clear cut ones don't get given either
credit to stoke imo, they played well and at times took the game to chelsea, I think they are going to have a good season |

Kun Aguero is very exciting to watch, City have got a top top player. Yaya Toure is just a monster of a player, arguably the best midfielder in the PL now.
After a bit of a flat weekend where I thought the football was a bit drab (probably because it is the first game and players fitness levels will be down on the usual level), it was a very entertaining game and I think Swansea will bring some good entertainment to the PL. |
