Far too many red cards in the game imo. It punishes a team far too much for what is often 2 honest challenges that are slightly mistimed. It also spoils the game as a spectacle.
I think there should be a 3 card system so a sending off is the rarity it used to be. Two yellows should equal an automatic suspension for the next game but at least it would stay 11 v 11 and the fans wouldn't be robbed of their entertainment.
Any views? |

tbh given the focus on the respect campaign why is he going up to the ref anyway
and then tripping up modric, he can hardly complain |

| Not disagreeing with the Eboue sending off, maybe by the letter of the law it deserved a straight red anyway. It's just a general point, far too many games these days get ruined by a sending off. |

fkn ruined my FF too, from Eboue scoring a perfectly good goal and a potential clean sheet and appearance now he's banned for 3 games. _________________ this ain't no tall order this is nothing to me, difficult takes a day, impossible takes a week |

They should introduce a system like hockey.
Green card - warning
Yellow card - minimum 10 mins in the sin-bin (Umpire/Referee discretion on how long)
Red Card - Sent off
2 greens do not automatically mean a yellow card, the same for 2 yellows as well (Not auto red card). _________________ Without fear and without favour |

| There should be a 3 card warning system but no sin bins, just up to 3 bad challenges and you are off. |

If you get a green card for a particular type of tackle/incident and you do it again, then it can be upgraded to a yellow. However, if you do something that's worthy of another green card, but isn't worthy of a yellow and is unrelated to the first green then you can give them another green card.
Sorry if that's not explained it very well. Still hungover from last night and can't really converse very well. _________________ Without fear and without favour |

or not hand out yellow cards every five minutes for f-all. Nowdays a game can be clean as a whistle and have 8 yellows. The slightest mistimed challenge. _________________ The next best thing to gambling and winning is gambling and losing.
