England not looking good and Nem the draw is fav going into day three at about 1/2. I have backed India at a shade over 3/1 and now just want to see lots of wickets _________________ Play online with The Mob at Genting Poker

We seem struck in paralysis with a defensive mindset. At least under Fletcher we were attacking, nowadays its like every man is playing for his place, hence a slow overall scoring rate, and mediocrity at the forefront.
Shah in particular must come in for the opening test against the Windies.
Bear Bell should be kicked out, along with Anderson/Harmlesson, and I would pick Kabir Ali as the paceman to come in.
He's another who can feel bitter about being left out over the last few years, he plays one test in 2003 with a bowling average of 27 to be never seen again.
He is consistently the top English qualified bowler, and has the best strike rate of any of them.
I'm not saying this as a Worcs supporter, but I think serious questions should be asked about Kabbys non inclusion for series after series

Kabir Ali is not international class. He is a 80mph wobbler, and hasn't got the tools to trouble test batsmen. This is why he is not picked.
Rubbish, absolute tripe.
Kabby has a better test average than any current England bowler, he has a higher County strike rate than any English qualified bowler.
You may say 'Oh, thats County stuff' but then, why can't the likes of Anderson, Harmlesson et al better it?
You would stick with the current rabble then? The ones which have failed time and time again?
Sorry, the time has come for a new broom to sweep through Team England, get rid of the dead wood at the top, and some of the crap players at the bottom

I would suggest your opinion is rather one-eyed as a Worcester fan Reg.
I do know several ex-first class players who do not think Kabir Ali has the make up of a test cricketer.
I haven't played first class but I also know my cricket. Sadly I have no alter egos to back me up on this.

Who are these ex first class players then? Name names, come on.
They obviously are pretty poor in their judgement, as I talk to a very highly respected ex cricketer who reckons its a travesty that Kabby and Shah are not in the team.
Anyway, not bragging or boasting, but what I don't know about cricket could be written on a stamp, so when I say that Kabby should be in the team then he should be.
