Well he's chip leader at the break with a shade under 2M. If he carries on like this, he'll be able to upgrade to a better team next season |

Almost no news or hand reports on him and he goes from 263k to 1,800,000?
There has to be a story there somewhere? |
I suspect the story is that someone added an extra zero to his chip count. |
Yep that seems to be the case no where in sight now. |

An experimental card design was used on Day 1A of the Main Event. These "Poker Peek" cards had the rank and suit printed in all four corners and aligned with the card diagonals, supposedly to facilitate easy peeking. However, so many complaints were received that they were replaced by regular cards within the first level: apparently, players were confusing aces with fours and nines with sixes.
I just went to the WSOP store to see if I could purchase some, speculating that a fresh deck of these limited edition cards would be very valuable one day. Interestingly, however, the store assistant informed me that all the cards had been seized by the Nevada Gaming Control Board and were going to be destroyed! |

Just for you I got a shot of Carlos Mortensen at one of the feature tables. Unfortunately he didn't have many chips but had still managed to make a lovely sculpture with them!

Carlos is out now. His Jacks ran into Queens. Now do you have any info on Bart Hanson, Huck Seed, Gus Hansen or Chad Brown? Thanks |

Adam Noone has been eliminated. He qualified through a freeroll tournament on Full Tilt Poker and collects $51,398. Congratulations Adam!
Just spoke to him: with blinds at 5k/10k a player open raised to 32k in late position and Adam re-raised all in from the button with ace-king suited. His opponent called with pocket queens. An ace flopped for Adam but unfortunately so did a queen.

The ESPN feature tables have just been rotated. Bad Beat is at one of them, with Humberto Brenes on his immediate left.
Day 3 chip leader Dario Minieri did not enjoy his spell at the TV table. He shipped about half his starting stack while in front of the cameras, although that still leaves him with a healthy 1.3M. However, some of the beneficiaries at his table now have bigger stacks than his. |

Fingers crossed for the Brits!
Julian, Skalie or Bad Beat would make a great winner. |
