kinda obvious when you bought his replacement already

Chadli is a LW, last season Bale was playing in a free role, false 9. Chadli is a squad improvement, not a Bale replacement.

So Soldado is his replacement? You don't play with an additional central striker when employing a false 9.

Bale played false 9 when all we had was Defoe available upfront. Now we have ade, soldado and Bale, I think that AVB will allow Bale a free role.

Pretty sure that Ancelotti will want to pick his own team!

Bale, will deffo go. He will have a very average season. the second season he will only play about half the time then he will come back to the premiership with tail between his legs to a mid table team at best, so maybe Spurs or Arsenal then.

Paddy Power have him 1/3 to leave. If they pay out seems like good value now Sad but won't be taking them up on it.

You seem to be desperate to keep him Nem........I think you need to be careful what you wish for. There is little point in keeping a player whose head is elsewhere.....Roy Keane even said the exact same thing yesterday.

At the end of the day, Bale and his advisers know his value and so do Real Madrid and that's why they are prepared to make a world record bid. Bale is outgrowing Spurs at a high rate of knots just like Rooney did with Everton and RVP with Arsenal.

Bale needs a bigger club and not one whose sole ambition is to come 4th in a 5 horse race. You have to accept that Bale will leave at some stage be it this season or next. The objective of Spurs and Levy is to get maximum value, if they feel that him staying could increase that then they will fight to keep him but only in terms of financial reasons.

Bale's off the pitch value is soaring also and the reason for Real wanting him in the same way as they wanted Beckham.......its in how much they can make in commercial spin offs. What if Bale stayed and had a sub-standard season and got injured......who would pay 100m then???

Harry Redknapp who is clearly on the inside track with events at Spurs has been saying for weeks that he wants to leave. The questions are how much Spurs get for him and how wisely they spend the money

well i'm one Arsenal fan who doesn't want him to go. AVB/Levy armed with 80mill is a problem.

I agree.......Spurs finished 5th with him in the team and there is no way that even without him they would finish lower than 6th IMO. So 80-100 mill in the bank has to be good for their CL chances.

I agree but Levy's MO in the past has been to wait until the last possible moment to do the deal which wouldn't leave AVB any time to bring in more new faces. You could argue that the 60 odd million they've spent already this summer is in advance of the sale.

Here is my slant on it, i think Levi is gonna try and get 160 mill, and hes gonna try and do it similar to Modric.
Bale is under contract so in theory he doesnt have a voice.
He can say what he wants and if Levi gets funny he can pull rank and say...
"Last summer you came in here wanting an improved contract, i gave you a 3 year extended deal plus an X amount a week pay rise, and now u walk in here saying can i talk to Real?...No you cant, go f==k yourself and get back to work but ill give you my word that if you give me 1 more year 100% and get us in the champions league, ill give you your move no arguments!"
Levi does a deal now (may have already been agreed) with Real that they can have him at 80 mill in a years time..we make champions league next may which gets us another 80 mill
80+ 80 = 160 mill
THis same thing happened with Modric and it worked till Chelsea managed to park the bus all the way to the CL trophy Very Happy
