Whilst we applaud and admire Tom Dwans stance we do not think this should lead to a witch hunt of other red pros whose circumstances may differ or who take a different view.

Far too many people jump to conclusions about the personal circumstances of others. We will not add to that, but to illustrate the point we will say a bit about ourselves. This does not mean that we are not entitled to our privacy or that we feel we have to answer every question we are asked. We just want to put a few things into perspective.

When we joined FTP there were very few European players, there was no PLO and hardly any action during peak times. We accepted a deal, which depended on significant growth of traffic. We were instrumental in that growth.

The USP of Full Tilt was its pros. And it worked. Like other red pros, we were part of what was successful about the site. One of the reasons all the revenue was generated. We were not part of what went wrong.

We did a job, a well paid job yes, and we did it well. Asking us to pay back that money now is essentially no different to asking the FTP office staff to pay back theirs. That money got spent, like most peoples incomes get spent. With the difference that we were contractually obliged to spend our money on playing poker and representing the brand.

We did not simply wear the logo, we did a great many things, too numerous to mention here. We attended meetings wrote articles, commentated, hosted, advised, chatted on the site. We had many contractual obligations and we fulfilled them all. Above all we lent our brand our site and our reputations to FTP. We had spent years building these up and we continued throughout the association at great expense to build our site and contribute to the growth and revenue of FTP.

Throughout all that time, all the money that came back to us as a share of the revenue we helped generate was put back into the poker community. Most of it as rake back and promotions, the rest to meet the costs of running what is a valuable resource to everyone in poker: The Hendon Mob Website.

Of course, we deeply regret the losses suffered by FTP players, particularly those introduced by us. Throughout the past few months we have tried to bear their interests in mind in the actions we have taken. This is one of the reasons why we did not think it was helpful to make statements or take actions liable to further damage the FTP brand unless there was some good reason to do so, beyond getting things off our chest or protecting our image.

We do not think everybody who ever got paid for doing a job for FTP should be obliged to make a statement such as this. What we do think is that some people who should know better are aiming low blows at their fellow players. They may be easy and visible targets, but that dosent make them the villains in this story.

Dwan (and Galfond) guaranteed that in the event that FT did not return players funds he would put up $1m for distrubution between those who lost money.
