If blinds are 200/400 then havent you pretty much called? You are never getting a fold if opened already and A3 probably best in the much mate. 45o better than A3 in this situation

I was BB so i had no time to wait! best i could hope for was to hit my 3, it was suited as well, just one of them spots Rolling Eyes

I played the pot limit Irish event too Marcus, there was a big gap in player ability. Lots of very good players, and a huge amount of total donkeys.

The big pairs are really not that good. They play better in No limit Irish, but in Pot Limit Irish, they are about as good/bad as they are in Pot Limit Omaha

Unfortunately, every time I had the winning hand I seemed to be up against decent players who could fold, or got away with losing the minimum. Saw lots of players with huge stacks go up against each other, both holding very little.

I played very tight for about 3 hours, people were still joining late though, entering with the blinds at 250/500, and only 5,000 chips. I had more than double my starting stack, but thought I needed much more chips and quickly, but decided to get aggressive at absolutely the wrong moment! Embarassed

I had played against that guy at another table, and found him quite aggressive, and thought he was capable of betting with less than a King here, so I was hoping for a fold to my semi bluff! (My starting hand was AcQc 5d7d)

some of the play preflop was mad mate, you would have one guy open for 300 then a 2nd guy re pop to 1300 and so on, like you said i think alot of guys did not know how to play it! and forgeting they can only use 2 cards from there hand once the flop comes and have to stick with them 2 cards,

it got to a point and i even said to one guy that came out betting that you be lucky if you top pair will be good once the flop comes! but he just bet out each tine and when the flop comes andthen they get to the river and see he had AA or KK but it never won lol
