I'm as guilty of taking joy from the current situation at Man Ure, but I think Moyes, or whoever was the first post-Fergie manager, needs time to settle in. Unfortunately, he won't get it, with the need for the champions league money to service the debt.

They were talking on the radio the other day about the ridiculously short odds being offered on Fergie taking charge of a first team game this season. Something like 25/1.

He will be there ages, do u not think the board knew there would be a period of transition after someone else had been doing it their way for 30 years?
I personally think they'd written off this year before it started hence they didnt throw millions at him pre season.
Fergie hand picked this guy for the long term
If the board had fans logic fergie would have got the shove on a cold tuesday night at Brighton in 1985, that would have been a solid move wouldnt it

November 2015

I really think United will give him plenty of time. With Fergie's backing he will never be sacked unless they end up fighting relegation.

Their board/fans simply have to accept a long period of re-adjustment after the incredibly successful Fergie period. And I look forward to them being a mid-table team for a long while yet Pray

This is spot on.
Fans are so fickle these days its ridiculous.
Friend of mine, Man U supporter reckons all he wants for xmas is Moyes to be sacked.
I asked him who he would want in..the man couldnt even give me a name!
It was only 3 or 4 years ago a few deluded Man U fans thought Fergie had lost it and wanted him out
Do they still clap at Chelsea on 22 minutes for Di Matteo??...oh...yep..Benitez won something..banners down, hes ok now Very Happy

If United finish in the top four then Moyes will get another season. If they don't it will be difficult to keep him on as they won't be able to attract top players. I didn't think Moyes was a good choice as his Everton sides were defensive and boring to watch and United have a tradition of playing attacking football going back to Matt Busby.

Bit harsh, Moyes gave us a lot of stability, but at the end of the day he was a shithouse. We were playing some great football, but he was overly cautious at times, and tactically inept. Ferguson won the league with an average side last year which says volumes about him.
