Stitches 5/10

Ross Noble is the miserable clown, (Mr Jelly, Psychoville style) who dies at a children's party and returns years later for revenge. Lots of gore, but comedy gore (eviscerating someone and making balloon animals with their entrails), but too much build-up, not enough pay-off.

oblivion 8/10 so damn close to real sci-fi. could of been an all time classic if a little braver with casting, story, and mandatory holywood shooty battles but still a very good film. it is amazingly well shot and realised.

You rated it that highly? Wow

It was the last thing I saw at the cinema and I might give it 6.5/10

Moments of brilliance but everything seemed fairly rushed to me, would have liked to have got to know the main characters before it all kicked off

One great performances though I must say

But as a magician the in jokes amused me...BUT if we're talking magic films, the Prestige, nothing will ever come close to that for me

what i expected of oblivion it achieved. i thought it would be failry simple given its limited premise. cloud atlas on paper is everything i want in a film. it did not deliver on any of them and the cliched drivel of a plot was actually an insult to intelligence. it need to be longer. or split into two and ust give the audience some f**king credit that we will get the references to sociologial and economic armageddon that we are heading for. hanks is my favourite actor and he was terrible in every incarnation. i am talking davinci code shit here.

needs to be re-scripted and the ridiculous gun battles that are just laughable. i rated it 5 because i was so looking forward to it. more and more independent cinema is the only way to go.

as a quick example the jesus (parody for want of a better word) totally dismissed how many years and centuries these things take to enter in sociological consciousness. this would be a perfect example to show this given the span of the film. instead eveything is in instant packages that stupid people can see and say smuggly "ooh jesus". makes me sick.

lincoln 9/10 exceptional film even if a little, look at this bit of history being made. Daneil day lewis is easily the greatest living actor(clint eastwood shout out). probably the greatest ever.

About Time. Release date Sept 4th but I got to see an advanced screening as a Cineworld Unlimited customer.

The film isn't quite the sort of film I had expected from the trailers. It doesn't have as much in common with Butterfly Effect as the trailer suggests. Not saying that's a good or bad thing. It definitely falls into the romantic comedy genre and there is very little sci-fi to get your head round. Like most films with time travel, there are holes if you look too closely. Luckily I can sit there and ignore them. Enjoyable film and a great performance by Bill Nighy.
