it should be 20 episodes long each series but i dont think they could afford it. this is one of the best things on tv at the moment and i can forgive some abridged i guess. _________________ The next best thing to gambling and winning is gambling and losing.

Cant help imagining what Doreah's last days locked in the vault would be like with the 'prince'... pretty grim i'd wager also the whitewalkers seem to ignore Sam at the end

Could add SPOILERS to thread title, but then maybe people who'd read the books would spoil it for me.
What was meant to have happened to Winterfell? It was suddenly all messed up, but there were 20 people inside using Theon as a bargaining chip to get out, and 500 of Robb's people outside. So wtf happened? Confused.

They've changed it from the books. In the book another Northern house, The Boltons of the Dreadfort, turn up and slaughter the besiegers. Theon had made a secret treat with them and opens the gate; the Bolton's forces then sack Winterfell and blame it on the Iron Islanders. The bit they missed out is fairly integral to book 5, so will be interesting to see where they take it.
