Things Are Warming Up

It’s been a quiet couple of days but with the stadium having been built for the final tables of the bigger events and the big guns arriving from the States and Sweden and big prize money expected for the remaining tournaments things are really warming up. The stadium is very impressive, it has seating for about 100 seated spectators and further room for standing. Two computers are set up for the live coverage of the finals (see www.pokervoice.com) and the table set in the middle of the arena together with all the lights should provide some very exciting action.

I am especially looking forward to the $5000 Heads Up tournament on Saturday where there should be some very interesting match ups. After early exits for all The Mob today we were left to do a photo shoot for ‘Snapparazzi’ magazine. The shoot took place in the Tonic Bar in the Crown Promenade Hotel when the photographer finally turned up half an hour late. It was a lot of fun and it should be a very interesting feature. Afterwards Ross and I decided to have a night out with the lovely Poker Room manager Carlene. So don’t expect Ross's diary to be out too early tomorrow. The full result of today’s event is below together with a picture of Carlene and myself. Well done to Peter Costa for another final table showing that he is indeed one of the better European limit players.
