Paddy Power Poker Irish Open Kicks Off April 18th, 2014

The 32nd Paddy Power Poker Irish Open Champion will be crowned this coming April, joining former champions that include Neil Channing, Kevin Vandersmissen and former World Series of Poker World Main Event Champion Noel Furlong in the winner’s circle.

Set the dates! The 2014 edition of the Irish Open will take place April 18th to the 21st at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Dublin, Ireland. The Burlington Hotel has been rebranded as the Double Tree by Hilton so don’t worry, the tournament is taking place in the same venue as before but it has been completely refurbished from top to bottom.

Ian Simpson won the title last year, surviving a final table that included live/online hybrid star Calvin Anderson. Not only did Simpson win the title, he was also won his girlfriend’s hand in marriage. That’s right, moments after winning the title Simpson popped the big question and left Dublin with an Irish Open Main Event Championship title and a wife-to-be!
