Day 2 proper will begin in around an hour with Jennifer Tilly, the only female entrant, leading the pack of 53 remaining players with 74,100 chips. In 2nd place is Rob Akery. WSOP Main Event winner Jamie Gold hasn’t made it, nor have top pros Robert Williamson or Ram Vaswani. Other well known players who will be joining us today though are Joe Beevers, sitting 4th in chips with 54,950, Charalambous Xanthos on 36,800. Further down the field but still with average stacks are Barny Boatman, Antonio Esfandiari and Roland de Wolfe.

Benedetto Passantino, Stuart Rutter and Pete Singleton may need to make some early moves, whilst Jani Johansson will return with a single 500 value chip.

Ram Vaswani eliminated

Ram Vaswani moved all-in with the board reading Q 9 9 4. His opponent, Jim Reid, called and flipped over K Q and Ram mucked his hand. The apparently meaningless river was the K, improving Reid’s two pair.
