No re-Bui

Bui moves in for the rest of his chips and is quickly called by Keys

Bui shows K 3

Keys shows 9 10

Flop 9 5 A

Turn 6

River. 5

And Bui is eliminated in 3rd place. He takes home £17,000

Bui not gone yet

Basically all-in with his big blind, both Keys and Bedi see the flop and quickly check down the flop, turn and river. It doesn’t work though as Bui turns over Q 2 which matches the two 2s on the board to triple up.

Bui takes a huge hit

Bui raised to 100k on the button and Bedi called from the big blind. The flop was 4 2 5. Bedi checked and Bui bet 100k. Bedi raised another 100k and Bui quickly moved all-in. Bedi double checked that Bui had indeed gone all-in and called for his remaining chips, proudly flipping over A 3 for the flopped straight. Bui had A K and was drawing to a chop. Turn A river 2 and Bedi doubled up. Bui is down to the felt.

A quick reprieve though

Rupinder moves all-in with AK against Luong-Huu who calls with AQ. The flop is 4 K J, the turn a 9 and the river a 5 to give Rupinder an instant double up.

Rutter traps self, busts out

Rutter completed the small blind and Bui declind his option on the big blind. The flop of 3 8 Q was checked by both and Rutter led out for 50k when the turn came 4. Bui limit raised to 100k and Rutter quickly moved in for a further 116k. Bui made the call. Rutter flipped over T T but Bui had 8 4 for the turned two pair. A lesson in the dangers of trapping. Bui kindly asked the dealer to give his opponent a three but instead the river was 4, boating Bui up. Rutter leaves in 4th place, trousering £12,500.

Rutter moves in

228,000 total on the button, Luong-Huu folds in the small blind and James Keys passes the monstrous 3 7 face up.

Bui wins a pot

Bui raises to 70,000 and Bedi makes the call

Flop: 6 J 3

Bedi checks to Bui who bets around 90,000. Bedi folds.

And paying the price

Luong-Huu Bui makes it 100,000 under the gun and David Maudlin pushes in for 30,000 more. Luong-Huu obviously calls and shows A T and Maudlin is behind with K Q The AT stands up on a board of 4 J 9 6 9 and Maudlin is out in 5th for £6,000.

Howe'ay the lad

Luong-Huu Bui raised to 80k in middle position. A crippled Richard Howe had 10k invested in the small blind and the call was obligatory as he only had a further 5k behind. He had 7 7 against Bui’s A 9. The flop of J 4 8 was good for Howe but running 9 9 on turn and river sent him out of the tournament in 6th place. He takes home £5,000.

Gala have added prizes for the top five finishers: 4th-5th get a $320 online tournament ticket; 2nd-3rd get a £500 buy-in to the GCBPT Bristol event in June; and 1st gets a £1,500 entry to the GCBPT Grand Final in Bristol.

Howe doubles through Bui

Howe calls and tables A 5 – Bui shows A Q

Flop: K 6 2

Howe hits a flush (and a straight) on the river and doubles up through Bui
