Howe out in 12th

Richard Howe calls James O’Connell’s all-in and shows pocket aces. O’Connell has jacks but the flop is not kind. 8 9 T gives O’Connell the open ended straight draw, the 8 on the turn is meaningless but the 7 on the river is now. Richard Howe is cruelly eliminated from the tournament and O’Connell picks up the 1/4 million pot. Howe settles for £1450.

Richard Howe doubles up through Dean Kaye

Howe moves in for 34,000 and is called by Dean Kaye who holds pocket 3s against Howe’s A2. The board read 8 2 5 J, with the ace coming on the river to give Howe the pot and leave Kaye looking somewhat frustrated.

Another out

RIchard Whitmore moves all in with JT offsuite, Richard Howe calls him with pocket 3s after a dwell up. The flop comes 9 T K, the J comes on the turn to give Whitmore two pair but of course the 3 comes on the river to a cheer from the crowd and Richard Whitmore is eliminated from the tournament

We see a river!

Action Junkie Richard Howe open limps utg, utg+1 Darrell More limps in as well, so does S Wood, folded to the big blind who checks. The flop is:

(225) Q J T

It is checked round, the turn brings the 8

Richard Howe checks, Darrell Moore fires 200, S Wood folds, Richard Howe flat calls the 200

Kevin White in action again

Richard Howe open raises in the cut-off, making it 175 to play. Kevin White is in the small blind and re-raises 375 more, making it 550 to play. Richard Howe then flat calls the raise and we see a flop of…

(1150) 7 J A

Kevin White leads for 700 and Richard Lowe folds.

Howe'ay the lad

Luong-Huu Bui raised to 80k in middle position. A crippled Richard Howe had 10k invested in the small blind and the call was obligatory as he only had a further 5k behind. He had 7 7 against Bui’s A 9. The flop of J 4 8 was good for Howe but running 9 9 on turn and river sent him out of the tournament in 6th place. He takes home £5,000.

How raises to 73K UTG, Rupinder Bedi re-raises all-in for 158K

After a while, Howe makes the call, Bedi shows K K and Howe tables J J

Maudlin might have his name on this one

Dave Maudlin moved all-in on the button for 99k. After a long deliberation Richard Howe called in the small blind with 9 9. He was in good shape against Maudlin’s K 8. First two cards out of the deck: 8 8! The rest of the board ran out 5 5 T and Maudlin doubled up. Howe is in a bit of trouble now.
