Final board: 3A1056

Players are now into the last half-hour of play for today.

And Thou Art Dead

Daniel Byrom moves in with K T for just 52,000. Luong Huu Bui is priced in on the big blind with J 7 and makes the call for 32,000 more. The flop is harmless for Byrom: Q 4 2 but the turn is the 7 to give Luong his pair. The river the Q isn’t the king Byrom requires and he’ll be doing no more a-roving in this tournament.

£4,200 is the payout.

James Keys doubles up on Daniel Byrom

Keys raises 55k on the button and Byrom calls in the small blind.

The flop is: 7 5 6

Keys moves all in for 262,500 and after a couple of minutes, Byrom makes the call.

Keys flips over 4 4 and Byrom shows 10 10 for a brilliant call.

His great call however, is undone by the turn and river cards of 2 3

Keys makes the straight and rakes in a pot of around 635,000

Byrom Lords it over Keys

In a battle of the blinds James Keys, the most active player at the table so far, raised from the small and was called by Daniel Byrom from the big. The flop was 4 T 8 and Keys led out for 65k. Byrom, sensing perhaps that Keys had been a little too active to credit, moved all-in for a further 152k and Keys mucked fairly quickly. Byrom tabled A K with a whoop. Keys shrugged and muttered “Suicide” under his breath.

Richard Howe raises it to 45K UTG and everyone else folds.

The first final table pot of the night goes to Howe.

Poetic justice for Byrom

Big blind Dave Maudlin checked a flop of A 5 4 and Daniel Byrom bet 30k from the button. Maudlin raised to 115k, setting his opponent all-in. Byrom then treated the table to a commentary of what Maudlin might have. He ruled out 23, said the flopped flush would be sick, and then tried to figure out whether Maudlin had a flush draw, an ace, both, or nothing. Maudlin kept a stony silence. Eventually Byrom decided Maudlin had made a move and called with A 6. He was right – Maudlin had Q J – but he still had to dodge a heart. Turn and river were 2 A and Byrom doubled up, making a big dent in Maudlin’s stack.

A double up on each table.

There have been two double ups on each table within a hand of each other.

Dominic Kay doubles up on S Lawrence with his Q 10 against pocket 7’s

Final board 2 10 9 4 6

On the other table Anthony Chapman doubles up on Daniel Byrom.

Chapman had 10 Q and Byrom had A J

Final board: 9 2 4 2 5

Know when to fold 'em

Daniel Byrom raised to 15k in the cut-off and James keys reraised to 40k on the button. The blinds evaporated and Byrom considered a while before folding AQ off-suit face up. Keys showed AA and the table applauded Byrom’s fold.

Byrom takes out Clarkson

Graham Clarkson limps in for 4,000 and Byrom makes it 11,000 from the big blind and Clarkson reraises to 31,000. Byrom pushes all in for around 98,000 and Clarkson calls and flips over 5 6! Byrom shows black aces and the board is of no help, 2 K 4 K 4 and Byrom rakes a huge pot in rather bizarre circumstances.
