Dave Maudlin exited to the rail in 8th place for £2600 when he moved all in pre-flop following a raise from Neil Blatchly.

Blatchly raised to 44,000 from under the gun with the blinds at 8000/16000, and it folded round to Maudlin in the big blind who re-raised all in for 218,000 more.

Blatchley dwelled up for a while whilst the count was made, then after a short pause, called.

In a very scrappy first half hour of the final table, Michael Punn’s K K called a 23k bet on the river from Maudlin.

On seeing the pocket Kray Twins, Maudlin mucked his cards.

Luong-Huu Bui makes it 100,000 under the gun and David Maudlin pushes in for 30,000 more. Luong-Huu obviously calls and shows A T and Maudlin is behind with K Q The AT stands up on a board of 4 J 9 6 9 and Maudlin is out in 5th for £6,000.

David Maudlin makes it 150,000 under the gun and it’s folded to James Keys in the big blind who pushes all-in for not much more than double David’s bet. David thinks for a minute before passing.

Dave Maudlin moved all-in on the button for 99k. After a long deliberation Richard Howe called in the small blind with 9 9. He was in good shape against Maudlin’s K 8. First two cards out of the deck: 8 8! The rest of the board ran out 5 5 T and Maudlin doubled up. Howe is in a bit of trouble now.

James Keys raised to 40k in the cut-off and Dave Maudlin reraised all-in for a further 169k in the small blind. Keys deliberated long and hard before deciding his A Q was good. It was: Maudlin had A J.

Colin Young got it all-in pre-flop with A 7 against the newly revitalised Dave Maudlin’s black aces and goes out in 10th, collecting £2,600. That bursts the final table bubble. Those remaining will be treated to dinner in the Charcoal Grill. We’ll be back when they are.
