Upon arrival in the cardroom we find that Charles Denton’s stack has already taken a hit from the previous hand and he is involved in a massive pot once again.
With the board showing 5 8 8 7 Q Denton bets 12,000 which is a bit less than half the pot. P Scott pushes and Denton makes the call showing A Q
It’s a long way behind Scott’s 7 7 for the full house and Denton is out.

Morelli bites the dust

Robbie Morelli doesn’t give Charles Denton’s re-raise credit and he moves all in. Denton calls and shows A K which is looking good against Morelli’s K 8 . Morelli needs an 8 or exactly 3 spades to stay alive but his hopes soon fade. A 10 4 Q 2 sees Denton collect all Morelli’s chips

With around 3000 in the pot William Haughey led out for 3000 on a flop of 7 Q 7 and was raised another 5000 by Charles Denton. Haughey’s all-in move elicited an insta-call from Denton, whose A A were in great shape against Haughey’s 9 9. The A on the turn extinguished Haughey’s slim hopes. The meaningless river was the 8. Denton has amassed over 50k in chips, which must make him our current chip leader.

Radu Muresan eliminated

On a board of 6 T 4 T Radu Muresan bet 1000 into a pot of 3000. Lee Buchan called and Charles Denton raised to 4000. Muresan wasted no time in moving all-in for another 4500. Buchan got out of the way and Denton called. Denton’s T 7 for trips was in bad shape against Muresan’s 4 4 for a full house but Denton spiked a bigger full house when the 6 landed on the river. A bad beat for Muresan as he is the first player eliminated today.
